I am a political geographer and social anthropologist focused on displacement, borders, and humanitarianism. My work combines ethnographic, participatory, and transnational methodologies to study how communities that flee violence produce knowledge, memories, care, and political action across borders. I draw on more than fifteen years of research and professional experience in Latin America, Europe, East Africa, and the Middle East. My research has evolved through sustained collaborations with migrant shelters, feminist and search collectives for disappeared persons, and humanitarian organizations.
I currently hold a prestigious Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Universitat de Barcelona, where I lead research on gendered geopolitical economies of migration and extractivism in Latin America.
